Heian Sandan - Peaceful Mind Kata 3 - STEP BY STEP
1. Hachi Dachi, bow
2. Look to the left, step to the left, back stance left foot forward, left arm inside
block.
3. Step up, feet together, right hand punches downward but only briefly in a setup for next step.
4. Switch arms once, twice.
5. Look over your right shoulder, step to the right, back stance right foot forward,
right arm inside block.
6. Step up, feet together, left hand punches downward but only briefly in a setup for next step.
7. Switch arms once, twice.
8. Look to the left, step to the left with the left foot, back stance double arm block
left arm out front, right arm reinforced.
9. Step forward, front stance spear hand, right arm out, left hand under the elbow.
10. Moving your left foot only while rotating on your right foot, swing around (spin) into Kiba Dachi. While rotating, leave your hands behind your back as if your arms had been grabbed at step 9. As you step into Kiba Dachi, release your hands from behind you bringing the right hand into chamber and swinging the left arm into a bottom fist at the shoulder level.
11. Step forward front stance right foot, right hand punch, KIAI!
12. Look over your left shoulder, bring your left foot next to your right foot as you rotate (on your right foot) around to your left (counterclockwise) until your feet come together and bring your fists to your belt w/ the punching surface facing your belt and elbows are out like wings.
13. Bring your right leg up knee block, stomp down, landing in Kiba Dachi.
14. As you land, Elbow block with your right elbow, then back fist with your right hand.
15. Bring your left leg around lifting your leg to knee block, stomp with your left foot, landing in Kibad
Dachi.
16. As you land, Elbow block with your left elbow, back fist with your left hand.
17. Bring your right leg around lifting your right leg to knee block, stomp with your right foot, landing in Kiba
Dachi.
18. As you land, Elbow block with your right elbow, back fist with your right hand.
19. Place your right arm in from of your left arm then five-second draw with your
right hand opened, chest should be fully extended.
20. Step forward into front stance, left foot forward, lunge punch with the left
hand.
21. Step up feet together, slide right foot out into Kiba Dachi.
22. Moving your left foot only while rotating on your right foot, swing around (spin) into Kiba Dachi facing the opposite side of the room from step 22. Right arm horizontal elbow strike as you land in Kiba Dachi.
23. Still in Kiba Dachi but small shift to the right, left arm elbow strike, KIAI!
24. Step back with your right foot, hachi dachi.
