Heian Yondan - Peaceful Mind Kata 4 - STEP BY STEP
1. Hachi Dachi, Bow
2. Look to the left, step out to the left into back stance, left foot forward, open hand
cup and saucer in right chamber.
3. Four-second draw up to open-handed square block.
4. Look to the right, shift into right side back stance, right foot forward, open hand cup and
saucer in left chamber.
5. Four-second draw up to open-handed square block.
6. Look to the front, bring left foot in, step out into front stance left foot forward,
downward x-block.
7. Step forward into back stance, right foot forward, double arm block.
8. Step up, feet together, knees bent slightly, cup and saucer in right chamber.
9. Sidekick, left foot, back fist, left hand, step down into Fudo Dachi stance, left foot
forward, right elbow smash as you shift into forward stance.
10. Bring your right foot in, feet together, knees bent slightly, cup and saucer in left
chamber.
11. Sidekick, right foot, back fist, right hand, step down into Fudo Dachi stance, right foot
forward, left elbow smash as you shift into forward stance.
12. Scoop behind with the left hand open over the left leg, right hand shield to the front.
13. Shifting your stance towards your left into front stance, shield with your left hand and shuto strike with the right.
14. Front snap kick with the right foot, step down crossing your left leg behind your right calf while remaining on the ball of your left foot and sinking deep in the stance as you back fist strike with the right hand KIAI!
15. Turning in the opposite direction (counterclockwise) and stepping out with your left foot into front stance, left foot forward (Facing a 45 degree angle in the room), fists are crossed in front of the chest in an X fashion. Then shift stance into back stance without moving the feet as your hands uncross opening to shoulder width.
16. Front snap kick with the right foot, step down into front stance, right hand punch,
left hand reverse punch.
17. Bring your right foot in then continue with your right foot into front stance (Facing at the opposing 45 degree angle in the room), fists are crossed in front of the chest in an X fashion, then shift stance into back stance without moving the feet as your hands uncross opening to shoulder width
18. Front snap kick with the left foot, step down into front stance, left-hand punch,
right hand reverse punch.
19. Bring the left foot in then continue with the left foot stepping out into back stance, left foot forward, double arm block.
20. Step straight through into back stance, right foot forward, double arm strike.
21. Step straight through into back stance, left foot forward, double arm strike.
22. Shift into front stance, left foot forward, open your hands at head level, grabbing ears of opponent, Knee strike with the right knee, turn to opposite direction, back stance knife hand block, left foot & left hand forward.
23. Step forward back stance right foot forward, knife hand strike, right hand.
24. Step back with the right leg, Hachi Dachi.
